Liberty Breakfast with Luke Barson (Rev)-Deliver Us From Evil Pt 2

MATTHEW 6:13

As I wrote yesterday, we are in troubling times, moral horrors, perversity and spiritual wickedness.

Satan’s personality keeps changing by day. Evil men are so violent, so unjust, without mercy and filled with poisonous ideas. They are so blood-thirsty that, everybody is outraged, seeking vengeance, instead of praying whilst the security agencies work.

“Redeem the time, for the days ahead are evil”. (Ephesians 5:16)

The security agencies are doing their best. But the nature of crimes being perpetuated are not just physical, but also spiritual in nature. It will be too simplistic for anybody to ignore the spiritual prowess of armed robbers, kidnappers and ritual murderers.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. (Ephesians 6:12).

As believers under grace, we may not be able to advocate for the Moisac law of “blood for blood, a tooth for a tooth”, but we can certainly activate our spiritual weapons of mass destruction in the realms of the spirit through prayer.

Many people are literally fretting. If we are not careful, we may ignore genuine people desperately needing assistance. We may even trivialise the role of prophecy or prayers as a result of mistrust for the prophetic ministry and all the cacophony that is going on in the church in Ghana today.

“Do not fret because of evil men or envious of those who do wrong;… but be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes”.( Psalm 37:1,7)

To fret is to be vexed, troubled, worried. As believers, our lives are in God’s hands, and our place is at the right hand of the Father. Evil thrives under fear. Satan enjoys having us fret because of his antics. Fretting leads to defeat. Stand up and take your rightful place as a bold, courageous child of God in the midst of all the wickedness.

I can assure you, dear reader, evil can never over power us, they shall be exposed soon.

Stay blessed always and remember to love someone and mean it.
