Second lady advocates protection of the youth against extreme marginalization in Africa

The Second Lady, Mrs. Samira Bawumia has stressed the need for all to work at ending extreme marginalization of the youth, explaining that in them, lies the future and prospects of the African Continent.

Delivering the Keynote address at the 2018 International Students Day, hosted by the All-Africa Students Union (A-ASU), in partnership with the “100 Million Campaign”, under the theme, “No Child Left Behind-Everyone’s Involvement”, in Accra, Mrs. Bawumia was emphatic on the need for deliberate measures and policies that will  ensure the protection of the youth on the African continent.

This year’s commemoration highlights the global outlook on Child Labour, and the efforts being put in place by governments and civil society groups to address it.

‘’We have a duty to end the extreme marginalisation of our young ones, because with them lies the prospects of our continent’’ she said.
