MATTHEW 24:24
Dear reader,
Social media has become the means by which some “half-baked theologians”, propound their doctrines. It is very common to see writings of some arm- chair theologians, whose background nobody knows picking up scripture and creating a mess, backed by a few disgruntled members, they make mockery of Christ and Christianity. You dare not make a phone-in or comment, they will attack you like hungry sharks waiting for their victim beneath the waters.
The Divider uses false doctrine to disrupt and divide God’s people, He or she skillfully divides brother from brother and sister from sister. The divider is very cunning and difficult to notice. (God! Give us the spirit of discernment).
“In the last days, there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions; it is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life”. (Jude 18-21)
The Divider is devoid of the Holy Spirit whose first fruit is love. Any teaching, word of wisdom or knowledge or even prophecy that creates confusion and divides a family, a tribe or a nation lacks God’s Spirit. God is not an author of confusion. Wherever the Spirit of God is, there is liberty. God’s word does not discriminate, it doesn’t create fear and panic and it does not divide.
Congregations, denominations, families and nations have often been splintered by the divider. Their teachings and prophesies bring strife, not love. They generate factions, not unity. They desire discord, not harmony. They thrive on confusion to become popular with some rented press and their hired spiritual assassins on social media.
Such people do all the perverse satisfaction that comes with destruction.
BE WARE… Child of God.
