Liberty Breakfast: by Luke Barson (Rev)-How Faithful Are You? Pt. 1

PROVERBS 20:6

“MOST MEN ( WOMEN) WILL PROCLAIM EACH HIS OWN GOODNESS, BUT WHO CAN FIND A FAITHFUL MAN (WOMAN) ?

What does the word unfaithful connote in any conversation? In the minds of many, it’s most likely to be referred to in a marriage situation, isn’t it? Where a married man or woman, or two people in a relationship level cheating allegations against each other. Of course, no one down plays the importance of faithfulness in marriage or relationship.

The truth however is that, looking at faithfulness only in marriage or relationships will be narrow in perspective. Faithfulness applies to every area of the believer’s life. The very thoughts of a genuine believer must even be faithful thoughts. If we all live faithfully by our God-given conscience, that whisper in our hearts every minute, which tells us the difference between good and evil, love and hate, peace and war, and which prompts us to choose rightly the path of God, how loving, peaceful and incorruptible the world would be! To follow the promptings of The Holy Spirit and our conscience is the beginning of searching for faithfulness. We are imitators of Christ on earth. Our standard is not set by any man, our standard is set by God, and the Holy Spirit, our Helper will guide us in all truth. John 16:13

“Be imitators of God as dear children”. Ephesians 5:1

In my candid opinion, God’s highest hope for us (his children) is that, we will become like Him; faithful in all ways. The generation we live in is corrupt to the core, and very unreliable; our attitudes and actions do not reflect the trust and confidence God called us for.

Always keep in mind that; “Confidentiality is a virtue of the loyal, as loyalty is the virtue of faithfulness”.
