“JESUS REPLIED; NO ONE WHO PUTS HIS HAND TO THE PLOW AND LOOKS BACK IS FIT FOR THE SERVICE IN THE KINGDOM”.
The church, and even the secular world has never lacked committed leaders or workers. If you must succeed in any field of endeavour, people must see commitment in you.
“True commitment inspires and attracts other people”. In other words, true commitment is “infectious”. It is magnetic and contagious. Many people who hold on to commitment about their dream, vision, work or even relationship show that, they have conviction. One thing I noticed in life is that, “people will only believe in you if you have a cause. People buy into you, and then your dream or vision. True commitment starts from the heart. If you must make a difference in people’s lives, either as a pastor, leader, CEO, manager or even an ordinary seller in the street, check your heart to see if you are really committed to your cause or dream.
“And your HEARTS must be fully COMMITTED to the Lord our God, to live by his decrees and obey HIS commands…..( 1 Kings 8:61)
Every commitment has a “TESTING” point. “Your commitment is tested by your actions or inactions”. I have met people who claim to be committed to a cause, only to run away in the day of adversity. It is one thing to talk about commitment, and another thing to take action and do something about it.
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power”, (action). (1 Corinthians 4:20)
The only real measure of true commitment is action. “Nothing is easier than saying words; Nothing is harder than living them day after day” (Arthur Gordon)
Many people in life became successful because they committed themselves to a cause. Commitment opens the door to achievement. As a child of God, you will face obstacles (spiritual and physical). Every great dreamer who intends to live a life of significance and greatness must be ready to face opposition. There will be times when everyone will desert you, and the only thing that carries you on is COMMITMENT; It is the only fuel that carries you forward.
“Commitment is the only enemy of resistance”. It is the promise to press on; the covenant to fulfil; to get up, no matter how many times you are knocked down, betrayed, or let down; commitment is the only companion to your final destination of success.
