Lion goes, elephant comes-NPP’s Hopeson Adorye declares as he files to contest Kpone Katamanso seat

Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) strong man, Hopeson Adorye says he is confident of annexing the Kpone/Katamanso Parliamentary seat for the party in the 2020 elections.

Mr. Adorye who filed his nomination on Friday, August 2 2019 to contest the NPP parliamentary primaries in the constituency said he was poised to replace the current Member of Parliament for the area, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, popularly known as Lion.

He said “Lion goes, elephant comes” after successfully filing the nomination at the party’s constituency office.

The Kpone Katamanso Parliamentary seat has been in the grips of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for so many years now.

Mr. Adorye has been described by political watchers as a strong contender who can likely snatch the seat from the NDC
