2 PETER 1:5-6

We all have the ability to be good or bad; to take what Christ has given us ( that is humility) and use it or ignore or even perverse it. This is not about reputation and ambassordorship in Christ. It is about how we must be, it’s about how we must fully represent Him, it’s about how we must behave if Christ truly has a hold on us.

The true character of a believer is seen in hard times. “Character is the springboard from which all we do and say in life comes”. Developing Christ-like character in life in the midst of adversity and opposition is essential and a proof that we have a growing relationship in Him. The modern day Christian practices “Convenient Christianity”, once their character is tested, they assume a different form of worship, and their true character is seen. “Character is not just about integrity or honesty; it is not just about right or wrong; its not also just about what we do in private or in public, the believer’s character is a living, growing relationship in Christ which produces fruits of the Spirit.

Dear reader, you don’t have any other character apart from the new character found in Christ Jesus. 1 Samuel 25 shows us a personality with great character. Abigail. Jealousy and paranoia drove Saul to seek the life of David. While popularity and integrity followed David, insecurity, envy, jealousy hate and anger filled Saul.

Your true character as a believer is seen when your friend succeeds; when someone is better at doing or successful at a chosen carrier.

But just keep in mind that, it takes maturity to exhibit godly character. It takes a Christ-like character to admit that you are arrogant and disrespectful.

Stay blessed always and remember to love someone and mean it.
