Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member, Appiah Stephen, popularly known as Appiah Stadium says he will compromise going to heaven for the return of former president John Dramani Mahama to the presidency.

According to him, the former president is the best person to lead the country out of the current quagmire she finds herself and that it has become very obvious that the generality of the Ghanaian people having been faced with untold hardship are clamouring for a Mahama return.

Speaking on Accra based okay Fm, Appiah Stadium also took a dig at former appointees of the former president who are contesting him for the presidential candidate position of the biggest opposition party in the country.

He mentioned Sylvester Mensah, the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Health Insurance Authority, Professor Joshua Alabi who he said was put on several Boards by the former president, Mr. Alban Bagbin, the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, former Minister for Trade and Industry as some of the former appointees of Mr. Mahama who have betrayed him by contesting him.

He said God will punish anyone who stands in the way of the former president in his quest return to the presidency.
