National youth organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye  has indicted the willingness of the party to welcome celebrities who pitched camp with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and campaigned for former president John Dramani Mahama during the 2016 elections.

According to him, Afia Schwarnegger, MzBel and John Dumelo among other celebrities are welcome to the NPP after the NDC and former president John has shown ingratitude by saying their contribution and involvement in the last campaign did not help the party, hence its abysmal showing in the last elections.

According to Nana B as the NPP youth leader is popularly known, the likes of Afia Scwarzenegger and co who openly declared their support for former president Mahama and campaigned for the NDC have now seen the light and are appreciative of what the current government under the leadership of president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is doing for the country.

He said Mr. Mahama after the sacrifices made by the various celebrities in his campaign has denigrated and berated them by saying on campaign platforms to lead the NDC into the 2020 elections that they did not help his re-election bid in 2016, adding that even the NDC’s Kwesi Botwey report, has attributed the party’s defeat partly to the activities of the celebrities that endorsed and campaigned for the party.

‘’MzBel and Afia Schwarnegger both have the children enjoying the free SHS policy introduced by the NPP government and are beginning to have a rethink in terms of which political party to affiliate with and we in the NPP will whole heartedly welcome them and work with them towards the 2020 elections.’’ He said
