An ardent sympathizer of former president John Dramani Mahama, Dzifa Gunu has described his fellow comrade in the umbrella fraternity, Dela Coffie as a fugitive and a fraud.
He is angry at his fellow party member because he believes it is Mr. Coffie who leaked some two Universal Merchant Bank cheques allegedly issued by former president John Dramani Mahama in the names of Mr. Joshua Akamba, aspiring National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, aspiring National communications officer of the party.
Mr. Coffie sought to create the impression that the money was to be used to influence NDC delegates who are attending the party’s national delegates conference today.
The figure on the cheque in the name of Mr. Akamba was 250 thousand Ghana Cedis while the one in the name of Mr. Gyamfi had 150 thousand Ghana cedis as the figure with both dated 15 November 2018.
Dzifa Gunu claims the cheques are fake as the former president does not even operate an account with Universal Merchant Bank.
He wrote on his Facebook page “John Mahama doesn’t even have an account with UMB. I urge you all to ignore the FUGITIVE Dela Coffie, he can’t openly move around town. He is a fraud”.
