BestNewsGH.com has intercepted two Universal Merchant Bank cheques issued by former president John Dramani Mahama in the names Mr. Joshua Akamba, aspiring national organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, aspiring national communications officer of the party.
Mr. Joshua Akamba received 250 thousand Ghana cedis, while Mr. Sammy Gyamfi got 150 thousand Ghana cedis.
The cheques are dated 15th November 2018, two days before the party goes for its national delegates conference in Accra.
The conference takes place tomorrow, 17th November at the Trade centre, Accra.
It is not known what the money is for, but it is evident that it is meant to influence delegates to vote the two men.
