The National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi today received the embarrassment of his life when he was asked to the leave the studios of Accra based Peace Fm when he went to represent his party on the station’s popular morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi, affectionately referred to as Chairman General.

The senior journalist did not find it amusing that Mr. Gyamfi will lampoon and berate him in public and still have the courage and nerves to appear on his programme.

Mr. Sefa Kayi did not mince words in asking the NDC National Communications Officer to leave his studio and that he was not welcome.

Following the leaked audio allegedly linked to the National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Mr. Gyamfi is on record to have described the affable broadcaster as a hypocrite for playing the audio on his show.

“These bunch of hypocrite journalists will never play leaked tapes on their shows so far as they have negative repercussions on the NPP. However, they are quick to play leaked tapes that involve the NDC like we are seeing today,” Sammy Gyamfi said at the time.

Sammy Gyamfi in a typical unapologetic fashion, refused to apologise to Mr. Kwame Sefa Kayi even after he was prevailed upon by the other panelists on the programme.

He insisted that the incident was in the past and that the broadcaster cannot use his platform to settle old scores.

He was however allowed to participate in the discussion.
