The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley has congratulated the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on the occasion of his 20th anniversary since ascending the golden stool.
According to the Business Mogul, the Asantehene has over the last two decades through his great deeds and exploits brought honour not only to Asanteman, but Ghana as a whole.
In a statement he issued a while ago congratulating Otumfuo Osei Tutu II who is celebrating his 20th anniversary as occupant of the golden stool, Dr. McKorley who himself has been enskinned as Gubgbaa-Naa (Unity Chief) in Tamale, recalled the various roles played by the Asantehene in resolving most of the challenges confronting the country.
According to him, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been a strong source of strength for many in Ghana and beyond through his deeds, explaining that his interest is to see the country succeed.
‘’The man has done great things for this country and we cannot even begin to list or name them. But what readily comes to mind is the recent role he played in achieving peace in Dagbon, where I am also a chief. That alone is no mean an achievement and I am of the opinion that we owe him tonnes of gratitude for this singular act alone’’ he said in the statement.
Dr. McKorley also recounted the Asantehene’s desire to promote education in the country with the popular Otumfuo Educational Fund among others, saying these are great values and virtues worthy of emulation.
‘’In the area of peace, stability and unity, he has done so much and I am happy for all that he has achieved and is yet to achieve. We pray God’s guidance upon him that he will continue to blaze the trail and continue to be the shiny example that he has been all this while’’ he added.
