The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has bemoaned the seeming neglect his privately owned radio and television stations are suffering in the hands of government and the NPP.
According to him, the two stations which have been at the forefront of championing the cause of government are sometimes not invited to attend and cover programmes organised by state agencies.
‘’What an ungratefulness, at least you should even give them adverts to use in running their companies. But I know they will do the merry-go-round and hit the snag and come back’’ he said on Oman Fm’s political talk show programme, Boiling Point.
“I have been to so many state organised events and these stations are not invited. In the event that they are invited they tell the reporters that “your boss is a rich man and that is it” he added.
The Businessman cum politician believes this is the time for government to lend a hand to pro-NPP media houses and outlets in order to motivate them to give off their best by propagating government programmes and policies to the masses.
