The Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo has indicated that the Attorney General and Minister of Justice is working assiduously behind the scenes and will unleash her venom on all those whose actions and inactions led to the collapse of the seven local banks in the country.

According to him, those who played various roles culminating in government having to inject almost 10 billion Ghana cedis into salvaging the deposits of some 1.5 Million Ghanaians must be punished, saying the tax payer’s money cannot be spent just like that.

Speaking on an Accra based radio station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com, Mr. Osafo Maafo said government’s plan is to do thorough investigations and present a good case before the courts, so that no culprits escape punishment.

“We cannot rush into taking people to court when we haven’t concluded investigations. We are presenting a water-tight case so that people will not escape justice. The Attorney General is working hard on this case and very soon Ghanaians will hear about it. So they should be patient” he said.
