President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government under his leadership has been able fulfill 41 campaign promises to the generality of the Ghanaian people.
According to him, he remains unblemished and wants to be known as a man with integrity who has kept his word with the people of the country.
Speaking at the final rally of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency by-election Tuesday, January 29, 2019, the president lauded Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for working assiduously to realize the redemption of the party’s campaign promises, to the people of the country.
‘’I was labeled a liar and someone who was deceiving Ghanaians just because I wanted power. My opponents said a lot of negative things about me and used unprintable words on me. But Bawumia whom God has blesses with enormous wisdom and knowledge came up with a paper to show that 41 promises made by the NPP and its presidential candidate within two years have already been fulfilled and delivered’’ the president said.
According to the president, there is more in the pipeline and that he will keep his word to the people of the country, as government works to improve the overall wellbeing of the Ghanaian people.
The president rallied the support of the electorate for the NPP candidate in the constituency, Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election has been occasioned by the passing of the Member of Parliament for the area, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, who passed on at a health facility in the United States of America where he was undergoing treatment for an ailment.
His wife, Lydia Seyram Alhassan has been elected by the NPP to contest the seat on its behalf, in an election that has been slated for Thursday, January 31, 2019.
