Gold trading firm Menzgold Ghana has rebutted claims that the company has a customer base of 1.8 million.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the Company, Nii Armah Amarteyfio, the company has a little above 60 thousand clients and wondered where the customers who made the allegations got their figures from.
A leader of the customers of the company who spoke to Accra based okay Fm today, Wednesday November 28, 2018 alleged the company has 1.8 million customers across the country.
According to the customer, the company’s clients in Tarkwa alone stands at 80 thousand while those in Accra are a little above 1 million.
But speaking on the same platform, Nii Armah Amarteyfio said the figure given by the customer is far from the truth and that the company will try to find out from them where they got that figure from.
He also denied that the company has not paid a dime to its customers, noting that they have been able to settle some 500 of the clients across the country, some in full and other in part.
Customers of the company yesterday took to the streets to protest the delay by the company in paying them their entitlements, calling on government to intervene in the matter.
