UWR: Work at sustaining peace in Lawra-MCE to YEA Community Protection beneficiaries

The Hon. MCE for Lawra, Hon. Martin D. Bomba-ire, in a brief ceremony officially handed over uniforms to Community Protection Personnel module under the Youth Employment Agency.

Speaking to the over fifty-five (55) beneficiaries during the ceremony, the MCE admonished the young recruits to be disciplined in their line of duty and report any case of insecurity to the appropriate authorities to be addressed before it escalates to destabilize the peace in the municipality.

As the Chairman of the municipal Security Council, he reiterated his commitment to continue to ensure that peace remains the most common commodity in the municipality.

He there tasked the young personnel to continue to ensure that the peace that is being enjoyed by their respective communities is enhanced to the fullest.

He added that, gov’t is working tirelessly not to renege on its promise of providing jobs for the youth, adding that with a vibrant and a hardworking member of parliament, and he as the MCE, they will always ensure that the municipality get its fair share of jobs and other developmental projects needed for enhancement of their living conditions.

Other dignitaries at the function included PRO of the Ghana Education Service-Lawra, Amos Gyetuo, Deputy Coordinating Director, Mr. Chevure Cletus, the secretary to the MP, Dickson Desire, and the staff of the municipal YEA office.

Orientating the beneficiaries, one of the Monitoring & Evaluation assistants, Mr. Puoyel Aziz, warned beneficiaries to desist from putting wrong or using multiple E-zwich numbers in checking their own monthly timesheets.

His colleague, Mr. Dery Jonathan entreated beneficiaries to be dedicated to duty and respect their superiors in the service to avoid bad comments on their timesheets.

The Municipal PA told beneficiaries that management is fully aware of their challenges ranging from unpaid arrears to mobility and is doing everything possible to address them as and when resources are available.
