Upper West grateful to gov’t for Free SHS, Zongo Dev’t Fund and One Village One Dam etal

The Chiefs and People of the Upper West Region have lauded government for the various policies and interventions it has rolled out to help accelerate development and transform the lives of the citizenry.

The are particularly excited about policies and programmes such as the Free SHS, Zongo Development Fund, One Village-One Dam,Planting for Foods and Export, One District-One Warehouse, National Fertilizer Subsidy for farmers amongst others which are being implemented by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government.

The Chiefs and People expressed their appreciation to the government when the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia toured the region as part of his nationwide Ramada tour during which he joined fellow Muslims in Tanina, Bulenga and Tabeasi for prayers.

Dr. Bawumia in his remarks indicated that ‘’the goal of  government is to continue to create a society of equal opportunities and we are committed to making development reach all, irrespective of location’’.

He also extolled the Muslim Ummah to continue to live in harmony with all regardless of religious differences.
