Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) strongman, PK Sarpong has blasted the founding president of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, describing him as a giant tree with a huge hole in it.
According him, Mr. Cudjoe’s assertion that former president John Dramani Mahama’s 280 thousand votes in the opposition National Democratic (NDC) presidential primaries should trouble the ruling NPP has betrayed his (Franklin Cudjoe) intelligence.
He said ‘’Mr. repository of all knowledge, you opine that the quantum of votes Mahama won should give the ruling party jitters since the delegates will partake in the next general elections. In case you are suffering from some memory loss, you ought to be helped to appreciate the fact that only NDC party members voted in their primaries. In an election which had only NDC members forming the delegates, I wonder why you expected them to vote for Akufo-Addo in an election he was not a contestant’’.
According to PK Sarpong, the 280,000 delegates have not been imported from the moon to vote in this election saying ‘’in fact, it is not as though God created them after the 2016 elections for them to make an impact in this exercise. As a matter of fact, the 280,000 delegates voted in the 2016 polls. They formed part of the 4,000,000 who voted for Mahama’’.
In his estimation, there is nothing newsworthy about Mr. Mahama winning an election which was skewed to make him win right from day one.
‘’As humans as we all are, we are fallible and, therefore, can get it wrong sometimes, but when a self-proclaimed king of knowledge makes such a hollow analysis, he tends to break the hearts of many people who hold him in high esteem. You are acting like a stranger in Jerusalem with your ignorance on something as basic as this one. I would not mince words, some of us have idolised zombies as perfect human beings’’ he opined further.
PK Sarpong concluded by saying ‘’Franklin, you are not deep at all. You are but an abbreviated piece of nothing in this field called politics. In the years gone by, we used to think you were gifted with analytical skills, the passage of time has unclothed you as nothing but an empty barrel making cacophonous noises on radio and television’’.
