Tema Port gets new Director, Edward Osei retires after his request for a 2 year contract was rejected by the president

The General Manager in charge of legal at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Sandra Opoku has been elevated to the position of acting Director of the Tema Port.

The Director of Port, Edward Osei retired on Sunday, March 3 2019, after his request for a 2 year contract was rejected by the president through the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei Opare.

BestNewsGH.com sources indicate that the Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Michael Luguje made the announcement at a meeting with the Management of the Tema Port today, Monday February 4, 2019.

The new acting Director of Port was employed into the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority in 2003 as a lawyer.

In 2004, she was sponsored by the Authority to read Maritime Law at the International Maritime Law Institute in Malta.
