The lead up to the election of the presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is becoming more interesting as surprises keep springing up.

The latest surprise to happen is in the camp Sylvester Mensah, one of the candidates who is eyeing the position

This is because Sam Atukwei Quaye, former Municipal Chief Executive for Ga West who is the campaign coordinator to Sylvester Mensah, together with his deputy, Nii John Coleman, have jumped ship and pitched camp with John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking on behalf of the two, Lawyer Quaye said “we have come ‘home’ to serve you my boss. As you may be aware, we together worked for Hon. Sylvester A. Mensah, also a hopeful. This was at a time it was unclear you will contest. However, we fell out on matters of principle and therefore together with my deputy we resigned”.

“We have carefully weighed the options, tested the characters on parade, and we can confidently say that, to win election 2020, your candidature is what the NDC needs to soldier on, said lawyer Atukwei Quaye.

“We are convinced that what the party needs for the battle ahead is your rich experience, a sturdy hand, a cool headed person and a father figure. These are the compelling reasons that put you ahead of the many stalwarts of the party vying for the coveted price.

The two were confident Mr. Mahama will emerge as the flag bearer and subsequently beat the NPP’s Nana Addo at the polls come 2020.

“We GO4JM, because it takes a “MASTER TO RESTORE A MASTERPIECE” and that is the surest way of doing the winning thing, the vocal lawyer and his friend said.

We strongly endorse H.E John Dramani Mahama as NDC flagbearer and encourage all to vote for him to send a strong signal of confidence we all have in him.
