Second lady interacts with traders in Kumasi, urges them to keep faith with gov’t

The Second lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia has met and interacted with traders in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital as part of her 3 day tour of the region.

The second lady urged the traders to keep faith with the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government as it makes efforts to improve and transform the country.

Mrs. Bawumia visited the Atonsu market where she was given a rousing welcome by the traders who expressed joy at seeing her and thanked her for visiting them.

They shared with her, their challenges and what they believe the solutions could be, going forward.

She was impressed with the progress being made with one of government’s flagship initiatives, the Planting for Food and Jobs programme as she saw at first hand, evidence of bountiful yields recorded under the policy, while interacting with the traders.

Earlier on, the second lady met with the NPP Regional Executives, Constituency Women Organisers and their deputies as well as the Constituencies’ Nasara Women’s Wings.

She later joined the inauguration of the Subin Constituency Women’s Wing, at the Jubilee Park.
