Policemen who assaulted Ghanaian Times Journalists interdicted, IGP demands investigative reports in one week

The Police Administration has interdicted the three police officers who assaulted some journalists with the Ghanaian Times.

The three are Inspector Isaac Opare, Sgt Ebenezer Akrofi and Lance Corporal Evans Kofi Ntim.

A statement issued by the Police Administration and signed by the Director-General of Public Affairs, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) David Eklu read in part that ‘’ the Inspector-General of Police has further directed the Accra Regional Crime Officer to take over the investigations of the case from the Ministries police station’’.

It added that reports on the investigations are to be submitted to the IGP in one week.
