Vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Saturday, January 12, 2019 hosted his former secondary school mates from the Tamale Secondary school (TAMASCO) at his residence.

The vice president, who completed the school in 1980, hosted his year group, the 1980 year group to reminisce about the past and discuss ways of assisting their alma mater.

Prominent members of society who were mates to the vice president including former governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr. Issahaku Nasiru attended the event.
