Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has indicated that per the standard used in measuring corruption in the days of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) and the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) by former president Rawlings, then every NDC member should have been ‘baptized’ with kerosene and burnt to death.

According to him, most of the killings that took place under the watch of Mr. Rawlings during the revolutionary days were carried out because the people were accused of being corrupt, adding that the former president rode on the back of the so-called anti-corruption crusade to prominence.

The politician cum businessman noted that having birthed the NDC and touted the tenets of probity and accountability and the subsequent mess in which the party found itself in terms of corruption, should make Mr. Rawlings bow his head in shame and thank God that he is still alive.

He argued on an Accra based Television station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com that the NDC has virtually become synonymous with corruption and that it is the worst thing to have happened to the country.

‘’Today I swear that if that was how Rawlings judged people, when you meet your brother from the NDC, you will just pour kerosene on him and burn him’’ he said.

He argues that Mr. Rawlings should be blamed for the country’s current woes saying ‘’ he has done a lot of disservice to this country. He is the one that has worsened this country.’’

Mr Agyapong did not mince words in saying he will never forgive the former president for what he said is some brutality Mr. Rawlings meted out to his mother in the days of the revolution.
