Some manufactures of designer blocks in the Greater Accra region are lamenting over what they say is the gradual collapse of their businesses due to “record low sales” in recent times.
Speaking exclusively to BestnewsGH.Com, some designer block manufactures along the Mallam-Kasoa highway and mortuary road near Korle-bu teaching hospital said their businesses are on the brink of collapse.
They complained that though the situation is recurring, this year’s situation is the worst they have experienced in a very long time
They attributed the situation to economic hardship and non-payment of some contractors in the country.
The designer block manufacturers told BestNewsGH.com correspondent Sir Coffie, many of their customers have abandoned uncompleted projects because owners of such properties complain of lack of funds.
The designer block manufactures say the situation has impacted negatively on their sales and profit margins.
They appealed to the government to pay contractors so that contractors will also have the money to buy their products.
