NPP and Akufo-Addo’s double standards on Anas principle sickening and nauseating-Clement Apaak

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Builsa South constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Apaak has once again lashed out at the ruling New Patriotic Party and president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what he says is their double standards with regards to the Anas principle.

He is exasperated that the NPP government seems to have difficulty working with evidence produced by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team.

There has been a back and forth argument between the Attorney General, Gloria Akuffo and the Tiger Eye PI team with regards to providing enough evidence to aid the prosecution of the former president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi, following the release of the Number 12 investigative piece.

Whereas the Attorney General says Mr. Anas and his team have not provided enough evidence to warrant a successful prosecution, the Tiger Eye PI team disagrees and says they have provide every relevant information and evidence to aid in the prosecution of the former CAF vice president and FIFA Council Member.

This drama seems to have surprised the Builsa South MP who wrote ‘’folks, Anas and his Tiger Eye PI did work that had enough to warrant investigation and prosecution under Prof. Mills. Anas and his Tiger Eye did work that had enough to warrant investigation and prosecution under John Mahama. None in the then ruling NDC, including its AGs,  party big wigs and apprachiks had reason to question the methods, products and the outcome of the Anas Principle. The then opposition NPP led by Nana Akufo-Addo had no doubt about the work of Anas and the outcome of the Anas Principle. Today, the NPP in power under Akufo-Addo has difficulty accepting the outcome of the Anas Principle in the form of #12 and Galamsay fraud part 1! Even the AG seems reluctant to act on evidence provided by Anas and his Tiger Eye! For the first time Anas is soliciting public support to compel the AG to act on evidence gathered via the Anas Principle to fight corruption! Ask yourselves why?’’.
