Nigeria: President Buhari submits letter of intent to contest 2019 elections

Nigerian President Muhamadu Buhari has put to rest, speculations as to whether or not he will be contesting the 2019 elections.

BestNewsGH.com can confirm that the president has submitted his name to the leadership of his party the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest the 2019 presidential elections.

The President took the opportunity to assure all Nigerians that if nominated, and eventually elected, he will continue to serve them to the best of his ability.

He said ‘’I assure party members and all Nigerians that, if nominated and if elected, I shall continue to serve you to the best of my ability. Let me today appeal to party members not to be complacent but to prepare, strategize and win in 2019 elections’’

He added ‘’ we must not allow those who brought the country to its knees from 1999 to 2015 to come and take us back’’
