Customers of the National Investment Bank, (NIB) must be very worried by now because if pronouncements by loudmouth New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament from Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region Kennedy Ohene Agyapong are anything to go by, it means the bank will join the league of collapsed banks within the shortest time possible.

‘’Even yesterday they held a meeting, the finance Minister and his team because NIB is also collapsed’’ he said on his privately owned radio station Oman Fm in Accra.

The MP who is also a businessman is blaming the alleged collapse of the bank to mismanagement and corruption by the board chairman, Togbe Afede and the immediate past Managing Director of the bank Ernest Agbesi, accusing them of making fraudulent and dubious withdrawals from the bank.

He is angry that the revered traditional ruler who is also a businessman has been retained as the board chairman of the Bank saying ‘’I blame the president and the Minister for Finance for retaining him as board chairman of NIB. He should be fired immediately. He is very corrupt. Look I have a lot of documents. I just don’t talk. The dossier I have on these people is a very big one. They must arrest Agbesi and fire Togbe Afede as board chairman’’ he said.
