National Women Organizer elect of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hannah Louisa Bissiw has revealed that she won the mandate of the women emphatically because she touched base with them and visited them in their homes to campaign.

According to her, it was a deliberate strategy to get to the interact with the women and have personal discussions with them in an open and frank manner so that they all appreciate what they are getting into and the role each person play for the overall benefit of the NDC.

‘’I went to their homes and spoke to them and they asked me questions that bordered them and I took time to answer them and let them know what I was bringing on board if they elected me their leader. I also went round the ten regions of the country interacting with the women and I believe they bought into my plan and vision for the women of our great party’’ she said.

According to her, she already has a strategy going into the 2020 election for the women’s wing, saying that remains close to ‘our chest’ as they will not want to reveal their plans and strategies for the opponents to feast on.

‘’Myself and my deputies and the women folk will do our bit because we are battle ready but we will not reveal how we are going into the battle’’ she said.

According to her, the abysmal performance of the current New Patriotic Party government has given them a lot of advantages going into the 2020 election, adding that Ghanaians have experienced enough hardship and will not make the mistake of retaining the NPP in political power.

‘’When they were campaigning in 2016, they accused the John Mahama government and NDC of borrowing too much money from outside but today what is the president saying? That even America borrows. No body forced them to promise to pay DKM customers, nobody forced them to tell cocoa farmers that they will pay 7 hundred cedis as premium. And so they are going to fall on their own dagger’’ she further averred.
