General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress ( NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito has lashed out at the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing the party and its executives of  plotting his defeat.

According to him, the open support being exhibited by NPP communicators and serial callers for his opponent for the NDC General Secretary position, Koku Anyidoho is a clear manifestation of the NPP’s desire for him to lose the position.

Speaking on an Accra based local radio station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah said the open support by the NPP communicators is so glaring and intense to the extent that hardly would any of them call into any radio discussion programme without voicing their support for Koku Anyidoho.

He questioned the interest of the NPP in the NDC’s upcoming National delegates conference saying ‘’ I wonder what the interest of the NPP is, in the NDC elections. We are having our internal elections, of what concern is that to the NPP. Why are they fixated on the elections? What is their interest in all of this. Because their serial callers are really shocking me. If a hundred of them calls into a radio discussion programme to contribute, irrespective of the topic under discussion, when they finish their submissions they still go ahead and say ‘’I support Koku Anyidoho’’.

Mr. Asiedu Nketiah believes he is giving the ruling NPP a good run for their money in terms of solid opposition, hence the desire to see him defeated.
