National Democratic Congress (NDC) national chairperson aspirant, Betty Mould-Iddrisu has taken her campaign to the Greater Accra Region, touring the Sege, Ada and Tema Central constituencies in the Greater Accra region.
The former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice in the erstwhile NDC administration has been touting her credentials and the warm reception she received during her campaign tour.
She took social media and wrote:
‘’The team visited the Ada, Sege and Tema Central constituencies on Day 2 of the campaign tour of the Greater Accra region.
The reception was resoundingly overwhelming and the interaction lively. The constituency executives made known their expectations of the next Leadership of our dear party and expressed confidence in my ability to provide that kind of Leadership.
I presented my campaign message and touched on the core values of the NDC. I spoke about the need to be united for victory 2020 in order to save Ghanaians from the economic hardship imposed on them by the NPP government.
The general feeling was that the party must do all it can to return to power in 2020 but the executives were unanimous in their caution that we must and should NOT do the same old things. Their sentiments were genuine and their commitment to see the NDC in power again, visible. I promised to work hand in hand with them to bring the paradigm shift.
One word that caught everyone’s attention was the way and manner the Ada Constituency Organizer pronounced ‘Chairman’. It really took some practice for some of my team members to pronounce ‘Chairmaaaan’ with same zeal and in the same tone as that of the constituency organizer.
I thank the constituency executives for their time, encouragement, support and candid engagement. I am focussed and committed to the non-negotiable victory of the NDC in 2020 and we shall do it together’’.
