Gold trading firm Menzgold Ghana has refused to tell the actual number of people who are customers of the company.

This is because at a press conference organized by the company Thursday September 27, 2018 to outline a payment plan for customers of the company whose dividends are due, the company blatantly refused to answer the question about the actual number of people who are signed unto the it as customers.

The company’s head of communications, George Quaye practically told the questioner off even after the journalist insisted he wanted the information.

‘’We will not say anything about the number of customers we have. For now we don’t want to divulge that information. It is classified and we can’t give it out’’ he said.

It is unclear why the company is concealing such information given the fact that so many people seem to have been affected by the current rumpus between the company, the Bank of Ghana and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The Company Thursday September 27 2018 officially sued the two state entities for undue interference in its operations.

Having announced that customers’ dividends will be paid to them from Friday September 28, 2018, customers massed up at the company’s offices across the country in anticipation of receiving their monies, but were disappointed when the company failed to deliver.

With the legal tussle now set to begin, it is unclear when the challenges and woes of the company will be over.
