Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the McDan Group, Dr. Daniel McKorley who himself is a development chief for Tamale with the title Gub Gbaa Naa, made the donation through his special aide, Gerald Owusu Duku.

The business magnate, who has been at the forefront of championing various development projects in most parts of the country particularly the north, assured in the strongest terms yet, that he will continue to support every effort that is aimed at restoring peace and returning Dagbon to normalcy.

He reiterated in a statement delivered by his special aide that he will continue to associate and stand with Dagbon in the quest to develop the area, adding that his support will continue to flow unhindered.

‘’I want to assure my people in Dagbon that I will always be available to support and stand with them, as we explore avenues that will bring development in order to improve the lives of our people. As we work and join efforts by government to restore peace and return Dagbon to normalcy, it behooves us to lend our unflinching support to make this a reality’’ Dr. McKorley opined.

Dr. McKorley further called on all, particularly the youth to conduct themselves responsibly to ensure a peaceful and a successful occasion, stressing that peace and unity are critical ingredients for development and must be guarded by all jealously, particularly the youth who are the ultimate leaders of the future of Dagbon.

The family of the late king commended and expressed their appreciation to Dr. Daniel McKorley and the McDan Group for the support and contribution to the funeral of the late Yaa Naa.

They pointed out that the gesture will go a long way to help give the late King a very befitting burial.

They also pledged their resolve and commitment to cooperate with government to ensure the funeral is successful and that peace returns to Dagbon.
