The picture alleged to be that of a 10 month old baby starving to death in Kwahu West in the Eastern region is breaking the internet with some Ghanaians launching an appeal for support to rescue the said child.

A Facebook user who shared the fate of the poor child said one Joseph B Danquah was the one who first shared it and gave the details as a 10 month old malnourished child in the Kwahu West area who was urgently in need of support.

‘’In Ghana, Kwahu West, this 10month-old baby is starving. She weighs 3.7kg according to the health officer and is not the only one in the community facing malnutrition. If you are a health professional or a nutritionist with a group or reach in the communities in that area, please get in touch and let’s work on community education on what foods in that region can offset the ongoing challenge there. If you are also moved to join the professionals to visit and help reach these communities, you are joyously invited to do so. Many hearts and hands are needed’’ he wrote.

‘’Finally, if you have any spare milk, oils, sugar, and coins (to purchase therapeutic feeds) to donate, we will gratefully take them and make sure the health outreach group receives them for immediate dispatch. Mobile money donations can be sent to Joseph Danquah on MTN number +233247061306 (They will render accounts and verify outreach impact)’’ he added.
