The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairman for the New Juabeng North Constituency in the Eastern Region, Kwadjo Boateng Agyemang has described the Ghanaian electorate as very discerning, who will not buy into the lies and propaganda of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the lead up to the 2020 elections.

According to him, the NDC in past elections when former president John Agyekum Kufuor was contesting, lied to Ghanaians that the then President was going to move the sea to his home region of Ashanti, hence he should be rejected.

In his opinion, the NDC looks set to want to employ the same kind of lies and propaganda to prosecute its campaign in the upcoming elections, adding that Ghanaians are wide awake and will not fall for such cheap tactics.

According to him, the NPP will go into the elections with its message of transformation which is earnestly being pursued vigorously by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government, explaining that issues will be made the pivot and centre of the party’s 2020 campaign.

Mr. Boateng Agyemang who was peaking on an Accra based radio station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com noted that the NDC is only good at orchestrations, machinations, falsehood peddling and propaganda and can never win an election based on merit.

‘’All they know is to cook lies when elections are approaching and tell the people that the NPP is going to move the sea to Kumasi because that is where president Kufuor who was the candidate at the time comes from. They are only good at playing on the ignorance of people and that is why they are even against the free Senior High School policy because they know once the people get educated and enlightened, they cannot lie their way to power’ he said.

He continued ‘’within the next 8 years when president Akufo-Addo will handover to Dr. Bawumia and the rest, most Ghanaian children would have gone and completed school and so will know that the sea cannot be moved or transported to Kumasi (Ashanti Regional Capital)’’
