PSALM 37:12-13
“THE WICKED PLOT AGAINST THE RIGHTEOUS AND GNASH THEIR TEETH AT THEM; BUT THE LORD LAUGHTS AT THE WICKED, FOR HE KNOWS THEIR DAY IS COMING”.
Ghanaians have witnessed some wicked events in the last few months. Contract killings, kidnappings, disappearances, political thuggery and many other wicked acts.
Many people will argue and say, population growth comes with its attendant social vices. Moral horrors, perversity, armed robberies, environmental issues, greed and scramble for the few scarce resources. But is that the case? Wickedness has found its way into the hearts of people. Ghanaians are generally known for their communitarian spirit, but in the times we live in however, neighbours no longer trust one another, passengers do not trust one another, drivers do not trust passengers and vice-versa. The tares the enemy has sown are gradually coming to maturity. Satan’s real personality is increasingly being revealed each passing day.
“In the last days, iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold”. (Matthew 24:12)
Evil is so violent and real, so unjust, so filled with poison, even believers with the strongest faith, full of love and grace are so outraged and vengeful. No man will sit unconcerned and allow wicked men to destroy him. As believers, we must respond, and respond correctly. We must respond using the scriptures and going on our knees daily, if we are to survive spiritually, if we are to stand victorious. As Christians, “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds”(2 Corinthians 10:4)
We cannot pretend that, the people perpetuating such wickedness are doing so with their physical strength. We cannot underestimate their spiritual prowess, the charms, amulets, rings, bangles etc worn by those who carry out such acts. We must also put on the full armour of God. (Ephesians 6:11-18)
Physical weapons and human physique cannot overcome such spiritual manoeuvres…
Is someone praying?
(To be cont )
Stay blessed always and remember to love someone and mean it.
