2 PETER 1:5-6

Dear reader, drawing your attention to certain deficiencies in your (we all have character flaws anyway) character, behaviour and attitude is not a personal attack, but rather it is way of drawing our attention, so that we can grow and be better used by the Lord.

We have to be willing to be identified with Christ, no matter the cost; as the rewards of being humble, submissive, kind and loving are far greater than we can ever imagine. It is important to be real; to be who you are, no pretence, no hypocrisy and no sycophancy, but the real you must be Christ: “Your New You Must Be Christ”. “Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover up for evil; live as God’s slaves; show proper ( genuine) respect to everyone, love the family of believers fear God, honour….( 1 Peter 2:16-17 NIV) Are you willing to reduce, so that Christ will increase in you? So that He is greater in character and precepts in your trust, faith and confidence; and in your obedience to the application of life.

Many believers complain about people’s character, yet do not know they have similar, if not worst character, and are not willing and ready to accept that, they have a character flaw. “This person’s character is driving me crazy”.”His or her Character makes me sick”. Stop the judgemental attitude about the character of people and begin to work on your own character and attitude. Believers should focus more on becoming like Christ rather than trying to change people to be like them.

If you do not work on your character of becoming more like Christ, you will continue to go round the cycle of life, thinking “you are the best, everyone else is a nuisance”; you will end up having problems with everybody, blaming everybody, including God, except you.

Stay blessed always and remember to love someone and mean it.
