The government announced Tuesday to be a holiday for all ministries, public and private schools and universities following heavy rains in parts of the country.

The rains virtually brought economic activities to a standstill in the country forcing public and private sector workers to remain indoors with government issuing alerts and warnings in order to ensure the safety and security of citizens.

Kuwait Airways however announced that all scheduled flights to and from Kuwait International Airport will continue as scheduled and there will be no cancelations.
