KNUST demo and Violence: Ministry of Education calls for calm as Minister meets parties tomorrow

The Ministry of Education is urging calm from the parties involved in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology following the deadly demonstration that took place there earlier today.

The Ministry in a statement signed by Director of Communications, Vincent Ekow Assafuah stated that it has noted with concern the happenings in the school, particularly the bodily injuries, the detention of some students and the destruction of some properties.

The statement indicated that a delegation from the Ministry to be led by the Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh will be in the school tomorrow at 10 am to meet the two parties to iron out the issues.
