Loud mouth ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has narrowly escaped expulsion from the legislature after he was found guilty of contempt of parliament today, Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

Members of the Privileges Committee that investigated the contempt case against the Businessman cum politician  in a 10-10 split decision, failed to take a decision on whether Mr. Agyepong must be expelled or not.

The committee however found him guilty of making statements that slighted the integrity of the house as well the as Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu.

Mr. Agyapong had earlier described parliament as “cheap” and “useless”, drawing widespread condemnation from both sides of political divide, the Minority and the Majority.

It is unclear what the next line of action of the house would be.
