The opposition National Democratic Congress has opened nominations for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency by-election.
By this, interested persons who wish to contest the seat on the party’s ticket are to pick nomination forms at the party’s national headquarters between today Monday, December 17 2018 and tomorrow, Wednesday December 18 2018.
A statement issued by the General Secretary of the Party, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah states that the cost of the nomination forms has been pegged at 1 thousand Ghana Cedis while the filing fee is priced at 10 thousand Ghana cedis.
The Ayawaso by-election has been occasioned by the demise of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko who passed on a few weeks ago in the United States of America where he was undergoing treatment for an ailment.
The electoral commission is yet to announce a date for the by-election.
