The International Maritime Hospital in partnership with Specialist Health Ghana, has commissioned a new ultra-modern dental unit to add to the vast array of specialist care services the hospital provides.
The hospital now boasts of the most advanced dental outfit in the country, with highly sophisticated and up-to-date equipment.
The widely digital dental unit, is equipped with an OPG dental machine, an intra-oral x-ray machine which works with highly technological computer software, an automated sterilizing machine, and a high-tech dental chair with intra oral cameras.
The CEO of the International Maritime Hospital, Dr. Yaw Oppong expressed excitement of finally bringing this long awaited project into fruition.
He said IMaH seeks to stand out as a specialist care provider, and not only provide ordinary health care, that is why it seeks to continually improve its access to technology to bring the best health care to clients.
“When the hospital was built, it was built to become the one-stop-shop of specialist services to distinguish itself from the other hospitals. Today, I am happy to announce that we adding yet another specialist service to what IMaH provides,” he revealed.
Dr. Gilbert Ankrah, CEO of Specialist Health Ghana, assured of his outfit’s provision of good consistent service such as consultancy, maintenance and surgical procedures to the International Maritime Hospital’s dental establishment.
The Director of Tema Port, Sandra Opoku, in an address at the ceremony, emphasized the Ghana Ports and Harbors’ Authority’s commitment to make its ports the best in the sub-region. She said it is in this light, that GPHA, under which IMaH is a subsidiary, is making sure it carries the hospital along in that pursuit.
“The Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority have the vision to be the best in sub-region and we also want to see IMAH offer the best health services in the whole of West Africa,” she disclosed.
