The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has handed an indefinite suspension to an Executive member of the party in the Ayawaso West Wuogun constituency, Christian K. Biakuse for violating Article 46 (8b) of the NDC Constitution.
Mr. has been accused of openly campaigning for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, and was caught in the act on January 16, 2019.
The indefinite suspension takes effect immediately over what the party describes as an anti-party conduct by the former.
The suspension is in accordance with Article 46(8b) of the NDC constitution.
A copy of the suspension letter indicated that, Mr. Biakuse was seen in the midst of members and supporters of the ruling NPP openly campaigning on January, 16, 2019 at the Roman Ridge Railway crossing.
