General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has alleged that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has ordered the arrest of Mr. Collins Dauda, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South Constituency.
It is unclear why the IGP ordered the arrest of the MP, but it is believed to be hinged on some violence that occurred in his constituency.
According General Mosquito as the NDC General Secretary is called, police personnel went to Mr. Dauda’s house at 2am today, 25th September, to effect his arrest.
He opined that the MP is currently on his way to Accra and has been directed to report to the IGP at the police headquarters.
