The ruling New Patriotic Party is being paid back in its own coin as far as the Menzgold issue is concerned and must therefore take whatever accusation is thrown at them.
That is the position of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito speaking a while ago on Accra based okay Fm, said the then opposition NPP told the generality of the Ghanaian people during the 2016 electioneering campaign that now defunct DKM belonged to former president John Dramani Mahama and his wife Lordina.
According to him, the NDC will also capitalize on the Menzgold issue to score political points, adding that president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the first lady Madam Rebecca must accept ‘ownership’ of Menzgold wether they like it or not.
He said it is payback time and the NDC will not back down on using the Menzgold issue in the 2020 campaign, adding that the magnitude of the Menzgold saga is 4 times more than the DKM issue.
