I am gutted by Black Stars AFCON exit-Prez Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said he, like many Ghanaians is gutted by the exit of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars from the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2019.

The Black Stars were beaten by Tunisia 5 goals to 4 in a penalty shootout after a 1 all draw.

After the full 90 minutes, the two sides went into a 30 minute extra time which failed to produce a different result after the 1 all draw, culminating in the penalty shootout which eventually saw Ghana’s exit from the tournament.

President Akufo-Addo who is saddened by the loss and exit of the team took to his twitter handle and wrote:

‘’Like most Ghanaians, I am gutted by the exit of the Black Stars at AFCON 2019. I wish the team better luck next time. I am confident they will bounce back even stronger and make all of us proud once again’’.
