Former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs says he is now a social commentator and is not bothered about the media blackout imposed on him by the party.

According to Mr. Allotey Jacobs, he hasn’t really been in the NDC communications team for some time now and all this while spoke on his own accord during radio and television discussion programmes.

NDC’s National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi has said Mr. Allotey Jacobs does not speak for the party anymore and that any representation he does on radio or television is in his personal capacity.

But speaking in reaction to the party’s directive, Mr. Allotey Jacobs said the party and its national communications officer has misfired big time, as he never was a member of the communications team.

The former NDC Central Regional chairman revealed that, the party has been fighting him for his style of communication because he does not engage in vile propaganda.

“My party has been fighting me for my style of communication because when it is white, I will say white not red” he opined.

Allotey Jacobs said he is not perturbed about the supposed ban since he is now a social commentator.

“I don’t invite myself so if the production team of a media house invites me, I will speak. In fact, many of the media houses wants me as a panel members but I don’t have time” he bragged.

Allotey Jacobs commended the media for not allowing the NDC dictate to them.
