New Patriotic Party (NPP) strongman and founder of think-tank, Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko has entreated Ghanaians to remain resolute and have faith in president Nana Addo Dankwa Akuf-Addo and his government in the midst of the hardship that they are grappling with.

Mr. Otchere Darko puts the blame on the mess inherited by the NPP administration, especially with regards to the banking sector crises which led to the collapse on some seven local banks.

Government he explained in a post on his Facebook page, through no fault of its, had to find a whopping 8 billion cedis which wasn’t budgeted for ,to salvage the savings and deposits of some 1.2 million Ghanaians who transacted business with the collapsed banks.

But for the mess and mismanagement on the part of the previous administration, that 8 billion cedis could be channeled into other productive areas that will bring some relief to the generality of the Ghanaian people.

He said injecting the amount into the banks also ensured that some of the workers of the banks remained at post thereby reducing the number of workers that would have lost their jobs.
